A very good article regarding how the CDC comes up with Autism rates in the US. My son, who is not diagnosed with autism but carries an Educational Autism classification was in Missouri’s reporting class for 2008 (with DOB in 2000). He has early medical records indicating possible Autism (from SLP and Dev. Ped) and some confusion in his early school records regarding him being dx with autism (which he was not). So it is interesting to understand that he may have been counted in the 1:88 children with autism, despite not having it.
